In an existing first floor shell space in Samsung Regional Headquarters, the 4,950 s.f. Incubation Lab retrofit provides a raw, creative workspace that allows project teams to collaborate and explore solutions for future product development. The Lab, which is entirely on a raised flooring system, includes highly adaptable open office space for 22 occupants, project collaboration spaces, main conference room, private conferencing flex space, lounge/break room space, display area, workroom, and server/storage space. The workroom accommodates a 3D printer for rapid prototyping, portable photo booth, and counters for mockup preparation. In an acoustically separated area of the building is an anechoic chamber for product testing. Due to corporate security, the office balanced daylighting with privacy and shading.
